Edmonton - Front Yards in Bloom

Front Yards in Bloom strive to recognize friends and neighbours' efforts to create more beautiful communities.

The program aims to encourage all Edmontonians to help keep their neighbourhoods attractive places to live, work, and play.

Front Yards in Bloom was founded in 1999 by the Edmonton Horticultural Society, Canada Post, and the City of Edmonton to celebrate attractive front yards in Edmonton. Edmonton's Front Yards in Bloom is now the largest program of its kind in Canada. Anyone can nominate a front yard, and the top 24 yards are determined by the Edmonton Horticultural Society.

In 2017, Front Yards in Bloom received 6,148 nominations.Winners are announced at the annual Edmonton in Bloom Awards in August of each year. Front Yards in Bloom is a partner program run by the Edmonton Horticultural Society, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers and the City of Edmonton.
