Community leadership - strategies
Strong leadership and collaboration are essential to move healthy strategies forward in the community. Community leadership may be as simple as one or two people who work with others to develop and sustain the health of their community. You don't need to run for office or hold a title to be a leader. All you need is to take some level of responsibility.
Vibrant and healthy communities are made, not born. They result from the hard work of dedicated groups who are willing to invest time and energy for the benefit of everyone. Communities need strong leadership from individuals who are willing to help chart the course and inspire others to join. Although some will emerge as ‘born leaders’, most people simply need a little guidance to transform their ideas and enthusiasm into action.1
