Did you know that libraries have sports equipment? Community libraries across Alberta are expanding their resources to include recreation equipment for their members. The Bonnyville Wellness Coalition focuses on improving overall community wellness and has recently partnered with the Bonnyville Library to enhance their collection. Sporting supplies including rackets, walking poles and basketballs were purchased and added to the system. Equipment is now available for residents to borrow at no cost; all that is required is a library membership! Reducing barriers for participation in sports is a sure way to help community members get active.
