Communities in Action: Central Peace

Categories: Community engagement, Social connectedness, Community,

Since 2016; Central Peace Community Connect newsletter has been used to inform residents on monthly events, local news and tips on healthy living.

After completing a Community Capacity Assessment tool, the team wanted to prioritize building a sense of community by sharing resources more broadly. This newsletter was developed to highlight resources and assets, including volunteer opportunities and low cost programs, such as support groups, book clubs and seniors drop in activities. The newsletter is sent out to all households along with the Town of Spirit River water bill, reaching over 350 people and is distributed throughout the Central Peace region by email to over 100 subscribers.

Central Peace Coalition Community Connections
