Communities in Action: Crossfield

Crockett Park is a currently underutilized public space in Crossfield, Alberta. Crossfield Wellness Network (CWN) brainstormed the possibility of creating multi-generational gathering places and identified games tables as something new and usable by all ages and abilities.

In February of 2023, Crossfield town council approved the enhancement of the park with the permanent installation of a concrete ping pong table and the potential addition of a picnic table with chess and checkerboard, as well as a shade shelter.

This was a direct result of working with the AHCA Guide and outlines the identification of mental health and sense of community as key priorities for the (CWN).

Mayor Kim Harris thanks the CWN for their efforts to improve the community!
