Communities across Alberta can make a difference in preventing skin cancer.
The Plan
Municipalities, Parks and Recreation and committed residents who have a passion for health can work together to increase the accessibility of sunscreen at popular sites. Ski resorts, parks, outdoor swimming pools and walking trails are some examples of places to raise awareness of the harmful effects of sunburns and make sunscreen available for community use.
The Outcomes
Brightguard is one organization that has built weather resistant, touchless dispensers that supply chemical- free sunscreen.
