Edson - Celebrating Diversity

In 2021, the Town of Edson, FCSS, and the local Youth Council collaborated on a diversity and inclusion video project to highlight assets and strengths. The project goal is to build a community where everyone is respected and valued for their differences and contributions.
The Plan
Multiple families and individuals signed up to share their stories. These personal accounts touch on a variety of topics such as kindness, disability, suicide, strength, adversity, and the power of community connection. The digital stories simply ask the question: What makes you unique? The answers are heartwarming.
The Outcomes
The Town of Edson Community Development team highlight how the process of making these videos ended up being much rewarding than they had ever anticipated.
